For the first time in the United States – and after a sell out run in London’s West End – Kevin Spacey will return to the role of pioneering lawyer Clarence Darrow. Thea Sharrock directs Spacey in Rintels’ compelling one-man tour- de-force in which the larger than life Darrow relives the pivotal trial experiences that established him as champion of the people and a civil rights hero.
The production covers hugely contemporary issues around equality, capital punishment, criminality, race and what it is to be a ‘hero’. As such the renowned Kevin Spacey Foundation (KSF) will be running schools workshops ahead of the performance that support social sciences, humanities and the performing arts curriculums.
