16 Apr Kevin Spacey’s Olivier Win
Kevin Spacey was honoured with a Special Award at the Oliviers last week. Presented by British icon, Dame Judi Dench, Kevin was awarded for his ‘outstanding contribution to British Theatre’ and accepted his Olivier statue in front of a packed Royal Opera House last Sunday.
Kevin will step down as Artistic Director of The Old Vic in August 2015 after a decade at the helm. Caro Newling, President of the Society of London Theatre, said, “His advocacy of London theatre has been a constant boon, and many of us will miss him as a valued colleague”
The audience were also treated to him performing a special duet that evening with Beverley Knight, British soul singer and Olivier nominee for Best Actress In a Musical.
