About This Project

Unintentional Mother tells the story of Anna, a young Aboriginal nanny, who must choose between running from her abusive father or staying as a devoted nanny. Family is all about perspective.

Directed by Mary Galloway, who was introduced to writing as part of her attendance at New Image College’s acting program. After graduation Mary began to write her own stories launching her production company Bright Shadow Productions Inc. (BSP). BSP’s first short film, Ariel Unraveling, which she wrote, produced and starred in, was awarded BravoFACT and Creative BC awards. Mary is very excited to make her directorial debut her winning project Unintentional Mother.

“Making my directorial debut with the Kevin Spacey Foundation’s support and mentorship is a dream come true! It is a true honor. Though I feel these words may not suffice - thank you. I am forever grateful.”
