About This Project

About: The Capital Focus Jazz Band (CFJB) are a youth music band based in Washington DC. They were invited by KSF to perform alongside Kevin Spacey in a specially created repertoire at the Washington DC gala event in 2013. The band rehearsed with Kevin on three occasions in the lead up to the gala and supported him on stage on the night.

Outcomes: This was an extraordinary experience for the six band members (the youngest of whom was just 13 years of age) as they got to perform in front of a high profile audience alongside Kevin Spacey. They all commented on how much the evening had boosted their confidence as musicians.
