Jacob

About This Project

Jacob was born in the state of Idaho. In 2012 he received the opportunity to attend a filmmakers’ workshop in NYU and created a short film on the 1938 live broadcast of ‘The War of the Worlds’ titled ‘Mercury on Air’. This year he was accepted into many top tier film schools but the accompanying costs made the venture impossible. However, in desperation, turning down every offer that came along, he came across an opportunity that was even greater than he had previously imagined – a professional, well-resourced program that offered instruction on both the creative and business sides of filmmaking – a combination that perfectly aligned with his aspirations. This scholarship and the ability to study at Regent’s University London has made it possible for him to take the next step into his future as a screenwriter and producer.

“Through the KSF scholarship and Regent’s, Kevin Spacey has included me in the passing on of encouragement to pursue one’s passion. In the future I hope to pass this ripple of inspiration on to other aspiring filmmakers”
