Kayland

About This Project

Kayland is a 20 year old BFA acting major at Pace University. She has been involved in the theatre since middle school, attending magnet schools for the performing arts in Dallas, Texas. While attending Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts, Kayland was exposed to many opportunities. Her senior year, she was chosen to intern with the Dallas Theatre Center and worked on projects with the company of actors. She was in numerous productions at her high school including, “For Whom The Southern Belle Tolls” as Amanda, “The Froegle Dictum” as Mandy, and “Four Little Girls: Birmingham 1963” as Denise McNair. Growing up interested in the world of acting has pushed her to continue her education in the field and attend Pace. What has kept her motivated is the unpredictability and excitement that the theatre always brings. She is incredibly grateful for the scholarship in allowing her to continue her education under an amazing faculty.

“The KSF has allowed me to worry less about financing school. Thanks to the scholarship I can focus more on my craft.”
