A packed audience of the great and the good of DC enjoyed an entertaining evening of comedy, conversation and music as Dana Bash (CNN’s Chief Political Correspondent) hosted a lively retrospective on the Hall of Fame and Academy Award-winning careers of two living legends.

The evening began with a hugely entertaining comedy routine by Chris Distefano, who ensured the crowd was suitably warmed up for the main event consisting of questions from the audience, accompanied by surprise guest appearances by Nathan Darrow from House of Cards and Ed Gero as Judge Antonin Scalia.

The inimitable C.K. Swett ensured the final auction element raised the roof with the generous crowd eager the support two well-respected charities. The evening then moved out the beautiful terrace of the Arena Stage where a talented jazz band serenaded those in attendance, helped along by delicious cocktails and mouth watering food.

“You’re reaching into a pocket of people who care. You expose them to sport or you expose them to the arts, and you broaden your appeal. It’s reaching the people who will help support the kids,” The Hollywood Reporter
